Default newbie just joined the forum...

Hey all,

Just signed up. Recently bought a lowered red 07 Honda FIT Sport, and I realized this thing rides way too rough. I guess I have 2 options....put the factory suspension back on it or change the 17" custom VOXX wheels to 16" and get more tire under it. Currently running Talon TR968, 20540R17s. Not much tire so not a good ride. Found several cuts on sidewall today on both front tires, probably from hitting the odd expansion joint (Plano streets suck!). Does anybody know a good suspension guy in Plano? After reading this does anyone have any suggestions? I don't know who did the lowering job as it was done before I bought the car. I took all the wheels off when I first got it (what a PITA!) and looked at everything but do not know what kind of struts or springs are on it. I would really like to raise it up and keep the custom wheels. All you experts chime in......I'm no expert, just love this car! Thanks

Welcome to our forum. For sure shorter springs make for a rougher ride and short sidewall tires also make it worse. Are the rear springs and color other than Black? The color may be a give away as to which brand they are.

I would advertize to swap your lowering parts straight up with somebodies stock stuff and you should get some nibbles.

thanks for the welcome and advice, already put out feelers for stock suspension parts, since I found those cuts in the sidewall on both front tires I'm hesitant to drive the car but they have probably been there for a while, makes me wonder how the tire is staying aired up......oh well, life is a series of adventures, eh!
