09/10 Fit Mirror cap replacement

Ok so the storm silver mirror cover/cap on the right side got gouged some how. I got the replacement from Honda and it appears to clip/snap right into place once the old one has been removed. However I can not get the old one off or find any exploded views of the mirror assembly to know if there is anything i need to take apart to replace it :(

Has anyone attempted to do this before? any tips?

I'm glad to see that you figured it out. There is a long thread on www.fitfreak.net that concerns the installation of after-market turn signal mirror covers. I bought a pair and will install them this summer. But apparently you found out that you need to use the electrical switch to turn the mirror inside the housing all the way UP to get access to the little plastic clips inside the housing that hold the top part onto the base.
