Since nobody correctly answered your question on the freaky site MNfit we will help you out here. Two ways to do it the first one is what you said change the cable ends to match the battery OR go down to your local parts store and they have small accessory posts that have one end like the new battery connection and the other end like your stock ends. problem solved :p

thank you, i realised I screwed up and dint order the brass terminals, PWjdm wants $20 for them. hopfuly I can get them cheaper at a autostore

I didn't quite catch the problem at the other site. If the problem is that the terminal clamps are too large for the diameter for the terminal posts, then this may work for you.
I had this problem when installing my Optima Yellow Top. I merely snipped some thin sheet metal and shimmed the posts. I made the shim about 1/2" X 3/4" long. I did not encircle the post, that way the terminal would make direct contact with the battery post at some point.
