LED Side Mirror Covers- News!

Our member twpanson was trying to get a group buy started on that other site, but had to cancel the group buy early. There was enough interest in this product from GD3 owners to keep the GB going, but Panson was having trouble finding a supplier with a good enough price for the GD covers.

For the parties who were interested in the previous two threads on these turn signal mirror covers, I bought one set for my GE8, and Panson has two more GE8 cover sets left. If you are interested, PM him and arrange a buy- he accepts Pay Pal.

This guy is as reliable as the sun. I sent a Pay Pal payment to him, and within 45 minutes he emailed me the USPS tracking number for my mirror cover set that he had already put in the mail to me.

Some time in the spring I will get my covers painted, and do a DIY on the installation. With my aluminum billet grille and my Zeta Products Hood Deflector, none of the Fits that I pass have any idea that the little purple car that flashes its lights at them is another Fit. With the addition of the lighted mirrors, they will be even more confused. I will make both mirrors blink as I drive by with the emergency flasher on.:confused::p:D

Update:

I received the mirror covers today in the mail, and printed out all 40 pages of the GE8 Mirror Cover Install DIY, very well done by Niko, on fitfreak. After more careful reading, it turns out that it is necessary to tap into wiring under the dash, but the instructions and wire color codes are clearly spelled out in the DIY thread.

So, some time in the spring, I will get the covers painted and will proceed with the installation. I hope that Panson can arrange a deal with good prices on the GD3 LED covers. If that happens, he can run a real group buy for your choice of GE and GD covers.
