View Full Version : Service Bulletin 09-086
Not sure if this is the right forum for this, but I stumbled across it on the other site and thought it might be worth posting here as well. Honda recently issued a Service Bulletin addressing the inaccuracy of the onboard information display. I've read where most owners are reporting overly optimistic MPG readings and this is supposed to fix it. Here is the actual bulletin:

Hey, erik
Thanks a lot for retrieving this from the other site and posting it here. I have known about this defect for a long time, and just never paid much attention to the mpg info. on the dash display. But, now that there is a fix, it might be worth a drive down to my dealer in Monterey, CA, to get the fix done. We appreciate your service to all of our members.

Another thing for erik,
One would suppose that once a Service Bulletin is issued for a defect, that Fits built after that Service Bulletin no longer HAVE that defect. When you get your new Fit, please lest us know if the issue still continues. Thanks-
Dave
P.s. I posted a link to this thread on honda-tech.com. Now your user name is known there as well as here. Important info. like this is the purpose of car forums. Thanks again.
Thanks Dave. :) I registered over there at some point, but don't think I've ever made any posts. I think "Erik" was taken so I registered as justerik.
As soon as I have some MPG data to report, I'll be happy to do so. There's got to be a few '10 owners here already though, right?
