Did you ever install the armrest?

Yes--when my Fit finally arrived, I put it in--I have not screwed it in and may not, so I can remove if needed--it seems to work fine. Seems plenty sturdy without being screwed in, too. My son-in-law who has a Civic & Odyssey thought it was OEM. Looks great.
