Wow! It's nice to look in the "Active Members" section and see more names than just mine! Member macbuddy has predicted that there will soon be "bus loads of smart Fitfreaks joining our forums" (out of disgust with that site's deterioration). Maybe. Hope so. But I don' think that I'm in much danger of being run over by a bus anytime soon. Welcome to the new folks!:D

Yes! Mainly due to some lively discussions about newly developed accessory products for the GE Fits, and to some clever leaking and linking of info. onto other forums. Kind of like the results of a good bass lure. The only diff. between fooling fish into becoming dinner and trolling for new forum members is, they get real info. here, not the b.s. and exaggerations that they were used to on the fool's forum.

Amazing!-- Every time I look at the "Active Members" section, I see more and more members and visitors.
Quick Members!! Post some more controversial, sexy (not too sexy), political (not too political), or INTERESTING (yeah, that's it, INTERESTING) subjects to get more members to sign up on the forums for Truth on the Internet!

Thanks for your visit. Bring some of your intelligent friends from the other site and help us increase our numbers. This is the Official, Anti-B.S. Fit Site.
Weird about the slow function of the freak site. I lurk there every so often through a proxy server, and everything works normally for me while the regular freaks are all complaining about site problems. You noticed that we don't have any slow-downs here, right?

How's it going, I usually stick to Fitfreak but I found this forum through a completely different car's forum and looks pretty good so far.
Manxman, I remember you being one of the more knowledgeable and helpful members on FF, it was quite strange to see you suddenly banned. In any case, the quality of discussion on FF has gone way down as soon as the GD3 ceased and GE8 started up - as soon as GE8 took over the Fit title, I haven't really seen anything worth looking at on FF anymore. I'm not ragging on GE8 owners, but GD3 is dead on FF now and the only thing worth looking at anymore is the classifieds section.
Regardless, I'm looking forward to checking out this forum often. There's already a good number of guides and reviews that are like the ones FF used to have back when I first started visiting that forum.

You are very welcome here, and us "old hands" share your views on the other site. That one is still of benefit because of the huge mass of good info. in the archives, but only if you are willing to search HARD for the good stuff, and ignore the ignorant garbage.
FF.net was a GREAT forum until the weird little kids took it over, and the (few) intelligent mods/admins got lazy. We are happy to provide an alternate resource for Fit owners. Give us the same lifespan on the Internet, and contribute some of your own knowledge and experience, and our archives will become just as large. But, no "Post Whores".
Funny- Pat Osborne is the fitfreak who started that cesspool of a thread, and he doesn't even go on the site anymore. He is too busy getting an education, and contributing to his real life community as a Paramedic.

There are other people that have noticed how irrelevant the GD3 has suddenly become.... The GE is to the GD what the 58 Chevy Impala was in comparison to the 57 Belair..... The columns aren't much different than the early columns in 2006 that were being posted when the GDs were first introduced but I cant see very many GE owners really getting into doing much more than than spending a lot of money on JDM merchandise like a lot of the younger GD owners did at first..... Who remembers the JDM dolls that covered dashboards in photos?.... I wonder if GE owners will get into doing that.....

I don't think that would go over to well at this forum..... I like it that old school type thinking about ways to improve the Fit with out buying the highly touted JDM "designer label" parts and accessories is accepted and even promoted here and the function of a car supersedes razzle dazzle fashion and form..... If something improves the car and just happens to look good, that is wonderful but looks that are a detriment to function just doesn't cut it for me..... I laughed and cried at one post where a guy had busted his third oil pan but wouldn't raise his suspension any higher because "it just looks so sexy"..... Wow!!!

Yes we know that person. "Cindarella" with the Fit that is a "magic watermelon"- flat teal paint with red door jambs, and an aluminum cow catcher. Drives it to the ball looking for Prince Charming.

I kind of like the cow catcher thingie.... I just like aluminum a lot.... Kirby vacuum cleaners are even beautiful to me and I could live in an Air Stream trailer and be in hog heaven.... I love wearing aluminum foil hats to keep me safe from extraterrestrial death rays and mind probes.

But I'll bet that you don't drive around looking for Prince Charming.

Well I would if there was a bounty on him... Times are rough when it comes to having enough money for the kinds of things that car junkies need to feed their habit... I would chase him down if I didn't have to do it on foot and there was a couple of dollars in it for me.

Okay--- You show us your aluminum thingy that you use in driving around trying to bag Prince Charming (for the bounty- right) and in your honor, we'll open a new forum-
titled "Totally Useless and Utterly Weird, Homemade, Truck, Tractor and Railroad Accessories for the Fit" . Howzzat?

I launch into full tilt absurdity only on conspiracy forums when I am blitzed out from sleep deprivation, VA prescribed medication and too much coffee and tobacco..... I get a lot of applause points from the staff about post that I don't even remember making and make no sense at all to me when I look them up to see what I posted about.... I left my secluded hide out up here on Ignorant Hill and went to the big city in the same state of mind yesterday and forgot to go where I originally set out for..... I think I did pretty good though because the checkout girl at the dollar store called me doll, I found my way back home and have sacks full of neat stuff that I don't really need.... I love my new water bottle and cheap sunglasses very much anyway...Thank you very much.... I sometimes wonder if all of the years I spent working on and being a patient on psychiatric wards might have influenced my thinking and communication abilities.

Billy Gibbons says the 3 best things about Texas is #1 Mexican food,#2 Mexican Food, and #3 The Dollar Store..... I forgot about the $19.00 I spent on pan dulce and tortillas at a Mexican bakery..... Oh, Thanks.... The federal government has determined that I am totally and permanently 100% disabled due to a psychiatric condition, and yet they had me working as a unit clerk on 2 units at he same time when I was an inpatient at a VA psychiatric hospital and even set me loose with a huge V10 powered passenger van to take patients on weekend outings as a volunteer.... And they say I'm crazy!!!

Crazy I can handle.... It is the superficiality and gang stalking flaming frenzies that were so prevalent and still sometimes pop up that annoys me.... It seems that things are going OK and then one guy starts in on a new member, all hell breaks loose as the feeding frenzy begins.....It has happened to me because someone misquoted what I had posted on a few occasions and once I got a rep points taken away by a brand new member with over 42,000,000 points that drives around on stock springs that he pridefully cut down....It does tickle me when weeks or months later that some point that I made that created a lot of name calling and insults is posted by one of those that was trying to shoot my post down.

So far, we gots nonna dem kind here. And the two ff.net Bad Guys run this place, so if the trust fund babies show up here, we just delete them out of existence. I drive around on stock springs, and I don't WANT 42,000,000 points.

You know what?? We are like the old farts 40 or so years ago that drove white 4 door Fords and Chevys that thought baby moon hub caps, Hurst shifter conversions, straight through scavenger pipes and Rat Fink decals were devised as a Communist plot along with rock and roll and wacky tobacky.... The capitalistic corporate controlled media promotion of buy now pay later and own crap you don't need, this is what is hot today don't worry about interest rates and and then their peers telling them slam that bitch, your stance sucks, buy some spacers and have your fenders rolled, buy genuine JDM products, don't buy fakes, and many boasting about how theirs is better because it cost more than what they really wanted so they got it instead..... It all makes me think of the lyrics to a Neil Young song.

12-10-2009, 09:33 PM
Yeah, I knew a bunch of those old farts. I out lived 'em, out-earned 'em, and went to a lot of their funerals saying "Bon voyage, sucker". There is no excuse for stupidity, illiteracy, and a total lack of taste. Just because some don't have MY taste, I have no argument against them. But some of the crap I see on forums is just as bad as real cars I've seen on the street with Astro Turf, or hundreds of snow globes glued all over the car, and dozens of ugly stuffed animals all over the back package shelf.
And Enron and AIG were far worse than the Communists, and a bigger, more successful threat to the average American. But, a lot of that is due to the protection provided by our military, against the Communits. They can't protect us against commercial greed.
