I didn't think it possible BUT the freaks have come through again. Yep a rat rod fit complete with FLAT paint, massive aluminum dragging on the ground front bar, rainbow inside mirror cover and check the cartoon headliner  . He should have left the old bent up fenders on it to complete the RAT ROD look.

It might make a good "little toy snow plow", but snow isn't a problem, ever, in most parts of Florida. Maybe he could make some pocket change from his city by driving down the sidewalks to remove lumps of chewing gum.

Then, he could afford even more bizarre interior and exterior mods.

I like "Rat Rod". Other people have referred to our cars, affectionately, as "our little pigs" because of the low and slow characteristics. But too low, and badly modified, does make the butchered car look like a rat on wheels.

Sorry but I thought Everybody knew the term Rat Rod. What it is is a fad started in Calif (where else) where people build old time hot rods BUT build them to be the ugliest, falling apart, pieces of crap of all time. They started the flat paint trend and rusty hoods. They take the rattiest parts they can find and slap together a rolling pile of junk and are proud of it. Now the kiddies have started to copy the style on their fits sucking up the worse parts of the trend like rusty hoods, flat paint, and ugly front bars.

I never heard the expression before. The idea is retarded enough to fit a lot of people on some forums though.

Welcome freaks if you think this is other than a RAT ROD you are deluding yourselves. And making a perfectly good hood into a rusty pile of crap makes that two RAT RODS therefore "Kiddies" not singular kids.;)

ANY car with flat paint, mismatched paint, bent up fenders, ON PURPOSE, zebra stripped interior, scrapping the oil pan, and a funky aluminum snowplow blade front bar is and always will be a RAT ROD in anyone's definition. LOL add purposely rusted hood

I am not in to extremely lowered cars but I really like the aluminum front lip....There may be one mounted on my car in the future and possibly other functional aluminum pieces if I can find a place to purchase some at a reasonable price..... I don't need a snow plow because I have a blade on my tractor and it doesn't ever snow enough to even use it

I'm not really feeling FLAT flat paint, but I think satin can look good if it's executed correctly.

I have been wanting to paint a couple of my vehicle satin black for a long time.... I am to poor to pay to have someone polish and wax anything , and I am too stove up to do it myself..... Satin clear coat finishes only need to be washed and wiped down with Armour All or a similar product with UV protection properties...

RIP Rat Rod it is no more. It was killed with reckless abandonment by careless operation due to a non-skilled owner.

I love that the person who commented on ray's "driving skills" got practically beat down by all of ray's fanboys.

I am kind of worried about what a person that could do such a thing and receive so much attention and concern when what was inevitable occurred is going to do to follow up this abomination...... What a scary thought to have right at bedtime, huh?

His "next trick" will probably kill him and anyone else in his car. That is not scary to me- I live 3000 miles away.

I have compassion for living creatures of all sorts regardless of who, what or where they are.... I am glad that he isn't my kid and it is a good thing for him that he isn't either.

I didn't say that I want him to kill himself........... I am merely predicting the event. There has never been a forum member who was more dedicated to earning a "Darwin Award". And all of the little "fan boys" will piss and moan over his loss (for about 10 minutes).

I am not as concerned for him as much as I am innocent bystanders like children and small animals..... If a few others post similar photos some of the less impressionable fellows that presently see this fad as being cool they might reconsider making this mistake and be more concerned with having a drivable car.

I dont really know what the beef is between you guys and ray, but I figured you all would be jumping for joy when he posted this up. personally I have always loved his car, more so before the lip and new color but I loved his car. Its a shame to see this happen even though it was going to be inevitable with how low it is.

The only problem I have is that there are young people that do not have a lot of money that are influenced to take a perfectly great car that they have to depend on for transportation and suffer financially trying to duplicate what is deemed as the epitome of what is cool ending up with no wheels and broke.... I have ruined some really nice cars myself and there is seldom a day that goes by that I don't want to kick myself in the ass for having wasted the time and money on doing the same sort of things that others are doing now with their cars.....

Speaking for several others, we just don't like idiots who take dangerous chances with their cars, and are ignorant with such matters as responsible maintenance. People who brag about driving around with 3 out of 4 wheel studs on each wheel being broken are beneath contempt.

Again, speaking for more than just myself, I think that painting a Milano Red Fit flat teal, but leaving the door jambs the original color and calling the result "my watermelon Fit" is plain stupid, lazy, and YUUUUGLY!!!

This person jumps at every chance to demonstrate his diagnosed mental illness, and dozens of other, undiagnosed, crazies cheer him on, and copy his crap. It's the world of the Internet, full of people with more money than intelligence.

He actually ran a thread with TOOL (Tyler), where they were intending to run a nation-wide prostitution ring on Fitfreak (of course, this was BEFORE Raaaaaaay came out on the forums as being GAY). I guess Tyler was going to offer jobs to his sisters and mother, and Raaaaaaay was going to do the same for his father and brothers (if he has any). It is this kind of ignorant crap that angers adult forum members who actually know cars. Absence of taste, and absence of intelligence and knowledge have no place on car forums.

I am personally jumping for joy that this creep has destroyed his car through his own lack of intelligence. But he will probably be back with more insanity. That's the problem with stupid, crazy, attention-starved people.

I couldn't believe all the play his car got. It was a STOCK fit that went slowly down hill with bent fenders, things held on with zip strips, cartoons inside, and nothing but wheels.

The only thing that made it a 100 footer was good photography and nothing else. Any other red fit with a nice wax job would have looked better if you put some wheels on it.

Mechanically it was a piece of crap and the owner bragged about his exploits of driving around missing lugnuts and wrecking numerous oil pans and his minions lapped it up.

And then.............. it got the rat rod name when it was turned into a rat rod plain and simple. Flat paint slap dashed on the outside only, wrinkled fenders, cartoons and that hillbilly spoiler it fit the definition of a rat rod for sure.

I wouldn't say his car was stock it had coilovers, JDM tails, exhaust, spoiler and other parts. I never say the car in person so all I had was his pics, and in those pics the car looked really good.

There are just a few pics of when I thought his car looked really good.

IM not trying to defend Ray or his poor/questionable maintenance and mods. I'm just saying his car I really liked the look of it and the stance, it would have probable have been a better idea to achieve that stance with air ride instead of coilovers.

I liked the look of his car at many points, I liked his early mods a lot. The later cartoon characters and then the rat rod were very much not to my taste. I also intensely disliked his lackadaisical approach to safety. The broken wheel studs post jumps out at me. The fact that he said he was a great driver so could avoid all the obstacles and a week later completely ground out his car seems like poetic justice.

Guess you missed his post where he drove over a manhole and DESTROYED it from being that low.... and that is after major repairs several times from scrapping and or hitting his oil pan.
