I bought a new Fit a week ago and have some newbie questions on Fit.

1) My Fit did not come with floor mats. Are floor mats not standard?
2) Can I go to Costco or any tire store to replace new set of tires in the future because of the tire pressure sensors?
3) The instaneous fuel mpg indicator is not very useful. Any one agree?

Congrats on the new Fit, and welcome to the forums. Here are your answers-

1. No, not standard, though some people were able to negotiate free mats as part of their purchase. Some after-market mats are far better than the Honda OEM mats. Collegehillshonda.com has a sale on Fit accessories, including mats, but their prices on the mats aren't much of a bargain.
2. The TPMS system sensors are at the base of the filler valves, stuck to the inside of the wheel rim. As long as you tell Costco or other tire store that your car is so equipped, replacing tires is no problem.
3. Dashboard mpg meter is more of a distraction than a help, and is inaccurate as well, in the opinions of many owners including me. For accurate information, you might consider buying a Scan Gauge II. This is one of the most popular and effective engine data tools around. You can read all of the benefits, and get the best prices, at Amazon.com.

You will enjoy your new car more after a short acclimatization period.
