I want to add a Kenwood amp to the stock stereo system so I can add a subwoofer box. Is there an amp already in the stock system (says it is a 160-watt stock system) that I can tap off of?? Anyone added another amp and sub to theirs?? Any DIY info or stock radio/amp wiring diagrams or info would be great!!!

Thanks!!

We don't have enough members with this kind of experience on these forums (yet). I hate to send you to another forum web site, but there is a lot of the info. that you are looking for on the fitfreak.net site. Don't believe everything that you read there. That site is full of ignorant children who lie just to have something to say. There are at least two professional "auto sound installers" who have posted some answers to your questions. If I could accurately remember their user names, I would post them here- but my memory is just bad enough to cost you a lot of wasted time if I posted my guesses here. Just be ready to do a lot of reading, because the amp/sub posts number in the hundreds on fitfreak.

Most members just went with a powered sub in order to save space and cut down on the power drain needed for big amps. And to save you some more wasted time, there is no high power alternator that will work on any Fit.

I like my fit but the sound systm sucks. The distortion is driving me crazy. Any idea how to isolate problem to spkrs or HU? Any recommendations for aftermarket audio systems? The dash is not friendly for replacement HU.
