Hello,

I don't currently have a Fit yet, but am very interested and am doing my research. Figured I'd join.

I was a Honda enthusiast in the mid - late 90's owning several EG6 Hatchs as well as DC2 coupes, then slid over to the RWD side and have built a few S13's as well as a FC and a FD and now currently drive a GS300.

For some reason, I had a strange urge to look at Honda's website the other day, and saw the Fit and figured it'd be good to add to the stable for commuting purposes. Then the old Honda bug came back, and I started thinking, it's cool....but how could I make one better. Now I find myself reading and watching videos and trolling forums.

I believe I've narrowed it down to a Fit Sport, White w/ Navi ... just have to unload the Lexus first, and locate the exact one I want. I'll be lurking the forums, and probably asking lots of questions (after a search of course). Look forward to getting back to my Honda roots, and joining the community.

Welcome, Shane. You will find most of the good info., as well as most of the total b.s. info. on Fits on the fitfreak.net site. Unfortunately, after a good start, that site was taken over by a bunch of idiots and immature show-offs. The people with training, experience, and honest info. are now on this site. Ask any questions that you want, and we will tell you the truth. The Fit is a "bare bones", fuel efficient, practical, spirited-handling car. You won't win any drag races, but the car will pay for itself, with a fair amount of comfort and a huge amount of practicality. there ARE some beneficial bolt-on modifications that can increase power without harming gas mileage. Just don't buy into the "if it come from Japan, it gots to be GOOD" mentality.

Many people have said the Navi is not nearly as good as a 3rd party GPS, so you may be better off with the normal Sport, but If I remember correctly, that's the only way to get traction control. In my opinion, the Fit doesn't need it, unless you regularly drive on ice or rally it.
