there's gotta be a way to rig it...would probably hurt your warranty though.
I know with my old del Sol, we rigged the aux lights to run as long as the button was turned on and the key was on, when they weren't supposed to unless the headlights were on - so it's very similar to the foglamps on the Fit. that being said, there should be a way to rig the fog lamps in a similar fashion on a sport version. it's a little different though - the aux lights were controlled by a button on the dash, instead of through the light switch on the left side for the foglamps.
other than that, the only thing I can think of is keep your headlights on all the time.
now, something else to note, when we rigged up the del Sol like that, I started burning out those little aux light bulbs left and right. they weren't meant to stay on all the time like that. that's something to consider.
if you know electronics, you may be a pioneer, be the first one out to figure this out. if you don't, I'd probably stay away from it.
...I was going to include that how-to for the del Sol, so you'd have an idea of what you're getting yourself into...but the link's gone T.T

Since the Canadian Fit comes with DRL, I would assume it could be done rather simply.

hmmm, maybe. I don't know anything about the Canadian Fit...but you would think it'd be easy, if they already have it. just got to hunt down the knowledge of how Honda did the Canadian version.
where there's a will, there's a way. I'm sure someone will take apart their Fit at somepoint to do this, and write a How-To for it...if you don't figure out how to do it yourself.

what's funny is I was told when I was test driving the Fit that it had DRL. So that's kinda crazy. I figured out real quick that is doesn't. It's wierd for me to have to turn on my headlights. My truck does it on it's own with the photocell on the dash. I disabled the DRL because every chevy truck going down the road has one burnt out, it's pathetic, so I said screw it and clipped them both.

why would somebody want daytime running lights...I always disable mine...they suck, they are not needed, pull the fuse out..........ridiculous for using lights during days..........
