Honda should consider:

-- $99 deposit to order a 2010 Fit Hybrid
-- Options to build it the way you want (see above)
-- Honda Discount/Rebate off the MSRP for ordering in advance
This would help Honda to know exactly what to build and save Dealers from having unsold units on their lots.

Just my two cents worth:

I ordered a smart car, waited 11 months, and managed to save a large downpayment in that time, which allowed me a lower monthly payment when I took delivery.

I enjoy the smart, it is driven daily and will be complimented by a Honda Fit Hybrid sometime in 2010 or 2011.

Hopefully, Honda will follow a successful model such as Roger Penske's with the smart car distribution system!

This kind of a distribution system will work for Honda in the US. :vtec:
- It will give Honda the time to see what people want!
- It will give Honda time to produce car the people want!
- It will put Honda ahead of Toyota and Hyundai!

WOULD'NT IT BE GREAT IF WE CAN PERFECT THE OPTION OUTLINE AND LET HONDA KNOW HOW TO DEVELOP A WINNING DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM THAT WILL BENEFIT THE CONSUMER FIRST, THE DEALERS SECOND AND ULTIMATELY THE HONDA CORP!!!

WILL HONDA LISTEN TO THE PUBLIC??? TIME WILL TELL!
(smart car people ordering in advance usually choose the factory installed upgrades and options, letting smart car know what the people want)
