It's crazy I had been using two 1 liter bottles of new mix it yourself coolant for years and I though everything was fine the Jazz ran fine at 180 degrees (I have a low temp thermostat and fan switch) and I though everything was fine WRONG.
For some reason this time I had the manual out and was shocked to see that the WHOLE system only holds a bit over 3 liters of coolant (3.3 with manual trans). That figure is for NON USDM without a heater so you better look up the correct figure in your owners manual for USDM specs.
So for all these years I had been running a mixture of about 66%/33% coolant/water which is way over the recommended 50/50. Now it caused no problem but I feel like a noobie  for thinking I knew everything when I should have checked the manual three years ago.
Then today I changed my coolant and put only one liter of mix your own coolant in so my mix was about 33/66 coolant/water. The experts are correct water cools better than coolant..... since I changed to the more water than coolant mixture my operating temps are down 5 degrees :p
I was totally surprised that using only 3 liters of coolant keeps the Jazz/Fit cool even here where it's above 80 degrees out all the time and in the 90's a lot. That's less than two large bottle of Coke.
Moral of the story check you owners manual for the proper amount of coolant you need.
