Hello to old fitfreak friends and enemies. I will be posting a review soon of a new and unusual exhaust system that I built for my '09 Fit. The nice thing about it is, it is even easier to install on the GD vintage Fits.

In order to enlighten other '09 Fit owners about this unique exhaust system, I have been looking for another forums setting on which to post this info.

Being banned from fitfreak.net, I also signed up for hondatech.com. However, HondaFitForums seems to be Fit specific, and could use a little help in its growth, so I will post the exhaust info. here. Sorry for this "tease". My review will be in the form of a YouTube video sshowing how this system was constructed. Will post more info. later, but to continue the "tease", I used a Stainless Steel muffler and exhaust tip from Aero Turbine Exhaust- lifetime warranty, MAKES both horsepower and torque and increases fuel economy, sounds fantastic (the deepest exhaust note that I have ever heard on a 4 cyl. engine) and weighs HALF as much as the stock exhaust.

Sorry to make you wait, but I still have to shoot and post the video to provide more detail than still photos can, as well as a sound clip.

While you wait, if you want to research the muffler itself, Google Aero Turbine Exhaust to find the web site. I used the AT2525 (2-1/2" inlet & outlet Aero Turbine muffler- looks GREAT and sounds GREAT!

EDIT-
See the new exhaust thread in the ENGINE forum. I changed my mind and used still photos instead of video to prevent viewers from getting motion sickness from me shooting while rolling around under the car on jack stands.

Hey Jimmy

I'm glad to see that I am not the only new member here from ff.net. How is the scoop intake coming?

I think I'm about halfway done :D .

In terms where I'm at now, I getting both the airbox and scoop for Bondo for shaping. The scoop needs to be better integrated into the cowl and the airbox...I just do not like that it's just a box.

Overall, it's getting there...just too slow IMO

You should try making it out of sheet metal instead of forming plastic. It's just as light and easier to form.
