Hey, does anyone else have these problems? Seems like when I push the gas pedal a litle, nothing. Then a little more, nothing. Then some more and all of a sudden, it wakes up and goes but with too much throttle. Is there some kind of box you can reprogram the stock computer with? Or do I need to make a cable conversion for it along with a little stiffer return spring as this soft pedal sucks?
Then the steering as it seems to wander or dart back and forth on the freeway at 70mph. I thought the wind or holding on too tight, but there seems to be something with the steering or the electric power booster.
Any thoughtS?

Is your car still under warranty? If it is, need to let the dealer work on it first. If not, the throttle sounds like a cable loose or throttle control sticking. on the steering, if the tires and alighnment has been checked and good, the elctronic steering may be going bad, I have not seen any complaints on this as of this time. The steering is very sensitive. I got mine up to 115 and smooth and straight.

Very easy to fix this problem but not cheap. Several manufactures make a "throttle controller" that is plug and play. It eliminates the BUILT INTO THE ECU lag. The lag is built into the "drive by wire" DBW system of throttle control on USA Fits for better emissions control to meet USA specs. Just google them.

If there was a problem with the steering the steering Icon on the dash would light up like the MIL (old CEL). The Fit steering is very light and takes a bit to get used to. Try relaxing your grip on the steering wheel.

if you want a throttle controller.. get the blitz. that is, if nothing is wrong with the cable or anything.

Hi PG-

To the OP, I'm new on these forums, but had experience with fitfreak.net for 2-1/2 years. I was in on the Blitz Throttle Controller Group Buy for the GD3 Fits. The performance of my '07 Sport A/T with the Blitz controller absolutely justified the $325.00 or so price. When my '07 was wrecked in September of '08, I advertised the Blitz controller for one day and sold it the next.

I now have a new '09 Sport A/T, and will probably buy the newer version of the Blitz Throttle Controller for this car as well. The controller absolutely eliminates throttle lag, and makes it feel like a completely different car (even more fun to drive- you literally grin when you turn on the controller and hit the gas pedal).
