My fit is equipped with 175 65R14 with 4 seasons tires.I would like to put winter tires. What size should I installed on it. 14 or 15 inches and 175 is it ok and 65 too? Thank in advance.
Note: I live in Canada and there is a lot of snow.

FYI - I also felt I needed bigger tires. I live in Pennsylvania and we had a rough winter. Have to tell you, that FIT of mine was a BEAST. I will get new tires this year, as the ones that come generally aren't all that. I am wondering also if I should get 15". Otherwise, I feel like I am helping out with plowing. But if you don't get them before the snowfall, No worries. The car was amazing! It is a 5-speed, and I bet that helped.

I'd put 175/70x14 if you can find them, or 165/70x14's if I could only find those. Both are slightly larger and have more ground clearance for better getting around in snow. Check TireRacks performance ratings and Consumer Reports for performance rastings.

A 15 will be better, and stay with 175 if you can as it gives better "bite" in terms of psi pressure forcing the tire to grip on the contact patch. Like a high-heel is going to pierce your foot if stepped on more than a flat heel. Much more force on that little contact patch, and less resistance cutting through deep snow. Plus the 15 will give even better ground clearance. Pirelli Winter Carving studded and Nokia "H" (sp) studded tires are both awesome. I use the Pirellis and have had excellent results.
