I bought a fit as soon as my local dealers had one, it's a non-sport 2007 model in Storm Silver Metallic. For the first year we didn't see too many other Fits on the road but recently they seem to be everywhere. Almost always sport models, too.
I love my Fit, it's a great city car but takes a beating from all the SUVs in Chicago. Out on the highway it can get whipped around by high winds pretty easily, but the gas mileage is great.
My only other complaint would be the first-gen Musiclink that came with it. It's a shoddy design and the cable often comes loose from the back of the head unit. The plug fell apart too, making it hard to plug into your iPod.
After a year or so of use, it's starting to lose that "smooth silence" it had and the engine is sounding just a little bit louder. It's been regularly maintained at the dealership and has no issues.

I would definitely buy another one in the future, (but definitely a sport model for the better wheels).
I love the look (like an insect!), the handling, the gas mileage, and the adaptability of the interior to fit some much stuff inside! I'm a musician and all my gear (guitars, amps, cases) fits perfectly with a seat to spare.
I'd like to see the Fits equipped with just a bit more power and the larger alloy wheels on all models.
