i love my new Fit and would not change one thing about it EXCEPT i wish it came with a center console.
i have come to get along without one, but it still would be nice if i decide to take a long road trip..
i know you can buy ones on Ebay that install in only 5 minutes with no drilling required, but they cost around $110!!
you would think that the Fit having such a nice, well-thought out interior would have included a center armrest...
just didn't see anyone else complaining about this and wanted to see if others feel the same as me

mmm the lack of center console doesn't bother me - the glovebox and trays are enough for me.

it doesn't bother me that much anymore..but when i had my 2003 Civic, it was nice to have a center console where i can rest my arm while i wrapped my hand around the automatic transmission shifter.

I bought the nonfolding armrest from www.zetaproducts.com (or .net I forget which). It requires screwing 4 screws. I'm eventually going to toss the entire console and get the JDM one with armrest.

Well, if you think $110 is bad, try $330 for the actual JDM one with the adjustable armrest. Check out ICB Motorsports at www.jdmland.com.

I am debating whether to get the zeta version or the one straight from Honda. Both are more money than I want to spend, but I also would really like an armrest.

Yep they are nice to have and you can take up the "gangster lean" if you have one.

IMO- both arm rests are worth the money. I owned the Zeta arm rest first for my '07 Sport, and thought that the quality was very good for the low price. I eventually replaced it with the much more expensive, and much higher quality, JDM arm rest/console. Wrecked the car 11 hours after installing the JDM console, and resold the console.
With my '09 Sport, I bought and installed the OEM Honda arm rest right away, while the Zeta one was still being designed and not yet ready for market. Assuming that the GD and GE Zeta products are made the same way (blow molded plastic), the '09 Zeta rest will probably work well and be worth the lower price. The OEM Honda one is about as heavy duty and nice appearance/function as you would possibly want. Well worth the cost from College Hills Honda or Bernardi Parts.

Our 09 armrest has been well received. Easy install and factory look.

Hi Angelo,
It is nice to see your banner at the top of the home page of these forums. For any HFF members who do not know Zeta Products, they set the standard for what forum vendors should be- high quality, low prices, and top notch customer service.
The Zeta Arm Rests for the '09 Fit have much larger storage space inside than the OEM Honda arm rests, are priced much lower than Honda, and take only a few minutes to install- no disassembly of your car interior is necessary (as it is with the OEM rest).
I have been a very happy Zeta customer for almost 3 years, have made about a dozen purchases of their products, and have never been disappointed. IMO, the Zeta Wide Side Moldings look MUCH better on the '09 Fit than the skinny OEM moldings. And it is a fact that the Zeta moldings provide better protection against dents than the stock moldings do.
I had intended to post photos of the moldings on my BBP '09 Fit, but some jerk gouged the whole driver side of my car in a parking lot and ruined the moldings as well as the front fender and driver's door skin. I just picked it up from the body shop, and it looks new again including the new set of Zeta moldings. So, I will post photos in a separate post in the next few days.

Dave, See Angelo's post in the vendor section. Funny we are on at the same time. Just got rid of a spammer.

Sounds like a great deal to me. Too bad I'm on the other side of the world.
