Greetings all....

I just joined to learn about your experiences with the Fit as I am considering purchasing one later this year. I currently have a Ridgeline and an Odyssey so I'm a solid Honda family. I drive the Ridgeline as a daily commuter and the 15mpg is getting me down so I plan to retire the RL to truck only duty and purchase a Fit for my commuting needs....

I hope I can learn a bit about your experience before I buy.

I'm completely happy with my purchase of the Fit. i too bought it for a commuter back and forth to school which is 40 miles round trip. and my silverado at 15-17mpg was killing me (over 400/mo just in gas). i'm getting 35mpg city/highway combined. and the 36 dollar fill ups are very easy on the wallet. the last time i filled up my silverado i gave them a bill and got 5 bucks back.

hi: got me a 07 fit, 46k miles to date. get 32-36 city with a/c, 38-41 hwy, pack in 4x4x8, and 4x6x8 lumber in the car, base model, auto. Fit is like a smaller odyssey. 109 hp still can get you a speeding ticket. utility is great. silver color shows less dirt. black interior lots of up keep but wonderful car to drive. better than the yaris or hybred civic.

welcome to the Fit Forums!! i consider myself to be a Honda only kind of guy and always have...from my mom's 1988 red Prelude that she sold just a few years ago with over 200,000 miles on it! to my first car which was a 1979 Civic and looked exactly like this one

while the Ridgeline is a beautiful truck, with today's gas prices being so high, it is hard to really drive and enjoy unless you have a good deal of money to spend on gas.
i bought my 2008 Honda Fit Sport Automatic the first week of March and cannot tell you how happy i am with it!
i love the japanese city style styling of the car, small on the outside but HUGE on the inside. the magic seats that flip up allowing 4 feet of vertical space. you can flip up one seat at a time or both...the rear seats also fold FLAT without removing the headrests, they fold under the front seats very easily. the rear hatch opens with little/no effort and lots of space back there.
i bought a cargo net and cargo organizer (the one with three big spaces) to put my groceries in without moving an inch.
the interior is well-thought out, as in every honda. and is made of very high quality materials. there is tons of headroom. i am 5'10 and i still have at least 12 inches between the top of my head and the ceiling of the car.
the instrument cluster looks exactly like the ones you would find inside an Acura. actually if you go to acura's website and look at the instrument panel of the RDX, it looks exactly like the one in the Fit! with the speedometer, tachometer, gas guage and trip computer big and highly legible.
great stereo system..200w with 6 speakers and i can play my CD's that i downloaded mp3 songs to my computer and copied to a disc. the cd player in my home wont even play mp3 disc's, but the Civic does. i can also plug my MP3 player into the Aux. input and play it though the stereo.
the leather wrapped steering wheel is shaped like a kidney bean on the top part, fits your hands naturally..just like the steering wheel in the Nissan 350Z.
the A/C blows out hard, cold air..i live in south florida and find the a/c works great down here despite the heat, humidity and baking sun.
with the sport automatic, you can use the paddle shifters on the steering wheel while in drive to upshift and downshift that will hang on until the transmission management computer decides, on the basis of what you're doing with the throttle, that you're finished with that gear and it's time to move on.
or if you're feeling frisky, slide the lever back to the "S" (sport) position, and make your gear choices with the paddle shifters..the transmission holds on selections as long as you like..
the Fit also keeps up with 80mph traffic easily even though if you want to get the most out of a gallon of gas...65mph will save you about 6-7mpg compared to 80mph.
i can go on and on...
if you want to talk to me directly or have any questions about my Fit..please email me anytime! i enjoy talking about Honda's!

hi cdef838, what does your product have to do with a FIT???? Will this make the FIT faster, more powerful. If so it is a good product to use on the FIT..
