after an accident in which some a$$hole hit me head on going 50mph, he recked my 2003 Civic and it was deemed a total loss..my insurance company gave me a check for $9,700!!! and my car had 50,000 miles on it.
the next week i went to purchase a Honda Fit Sport (Honda's only for me) i get Car and Driver magazine and everytime the Fit is in there...Car and Driver does nothing but rave about it..so i wanted to get one.
almost 3 months later, it still feels brand new (still has that new car smell too), and i enjoy it just as much as the first day i bought it..the gas mileage is amazing..even though i wish it had a slightly larger tank. at 10.8 gallons, it seems like i am filling up more...but averaged out, i am spending a lot less compared to my civic which got great mileage too..the materials still look new, no squeeks, no tear, nothing!! i love hondas!!!!
down here in south florida it is hot 10 months out of the year...and even when running the AC..i have no trouble merging on the highway and find it so easy to pass other people quickly and with little effort..i also love the fact that it is a five speed...most cars in this class only offer 4 speed. going 45mph. and with the cruise control on, it is only running at less than 2,000 rpm..great for saving gas..
there is not one thing negative about this car..and i get compliments on it all the time..i can't wait to see the 2009 Fit that is due out this fall..go to www.honda.com and look for the part that says preview the new fit..click on it...the new interior is beautiful...and comes with optional nav system (not for me) and a sunroof. here is the link http://secure.automobiles.honda.com/2009-fit/
