Hey all,

Up here in NW Montana. Had my Vivd Blue Sport for 6 weeks. LOVE it. Wish I was gettin' a bit better mileage (31-34 while driving conservatively) But it still beats the 17 I was getting in my Jeep Liberty... Dealer says to expect better after wear-in. They also say it has "break-in oil" that should be changed after 4K miles and that will help too. Anybody else told that?

Just registered and ordered my custom plates. Thought of a lot of plays on the Fit theme (Saw a "HSSYFIT" the other day :) ). What'll ya'll think?

Welcome taterblade. You say 34 mpg. Is that highway or city or a combo? I got my Fit about 2 weeks ago and have put 1200 miles on it already. I have averaged 39.5 to 44.5. 90% highway driving. I wasnt told about changing the oil at 4000. Just when it says to be changed. Will do some reading and check it out. Enjoy you new hissyfit.

34 is actually my high on a 250 mile trip. Combined around town and a bit of highway I still haven't got over 33. I asked the dealer again and they said definately have the break-in oil changed at 4K...

taterblade, my 07 fit now has 46k miles, when I had break in oil, I asked the service manager "Robertsons Palmdale Honda" should I change my oil at 3k or 5k, his response was watch your oil use percent, and at 45 to 35 % you can change your oil.
So I ended up changing my use oil at 7200 miles at 35%. Now I do my oil change at 25% or 7000+ miles
