Hello there. New to the forums. Went and checked out the FIT today. Pretty slick.

Here's where the potential flaming starts...

To get into the FIT I'll be trading in a '07 RX8 with less than 8k miles on it...
Seems after owning the 8 for almost a year it's a lot less practical than I ever imagined and simply don't drive it...

Needless to say.. Thoughts from the group as to go MT or AT with the FIT?

Thanks.

My AT Fit is quick and peppy enough for a daily driver for me. But if you want a tad bit quicker and a little more peppy, then the MT is the right choice for you. I heard that the supercharge will be available for the Fit soon. For both AT and MT.

Hate to see you get rid of the RX8. Such a beauty.

Welcome to HFF! Enjoy your stay.

I'm lost...what is there to flame about? there's nothing wrong with your choice...and if we were on a mazda board, I'd say the exact same thing.

hmmm...auto and stick each have their pros and cons. that is entirely up to you. mine's auto...sometimes I wish I had stick, but at least I got the sport (paddleshifters) ...and with my bad legs, it's probably better that I have less foot pedals to worry about anyway. it's a personal choice though.

welcome to the boards ;)

I agree. Well said!

Bad legs? Uhm...what happened?

eh, it's just me. nothing really happened, it's mainly the result of an unhealthy lifestyle and poor choices.
it's partly that I don't exercise enough...and if I drink any substantial amount of caffeine (substantial = about half a can of coke), the muscles in my legs knot up...and it's pretty painful. I try to stay away from caffeine now.
I've been trying to exercise more...but if I exercise for any substantial amount of time (substantial = something less than 5 minutes), then I get the same kind of pains. so until I can build myself back up to where I need to be, I'm in a world of hurt.
that's what I get for sitting in front of the computer all day. bad legs. I'm going to be like an old lady way before my time.

it's mostly my right leg - my driving leg, and when I first started getting the pains, they'd happen while I was driving...so I dunno.

just a combination of lots of things...I think the way I sleep and the way I sit have something to do with it too...but I feel like if I had exercised more, it wouldn't be an issue at all.
