The missus lost her clutch at 79K and change. At least that is what the Honda service manager told her. She has the extended Honda care warranty but it don't cover the clutch even if it's defective.

Has Honda addressed this with an upgraded clutch disk and cover or will the factory replacement unload?

Should I opt for a better quality aftermarket replacement?

A little info before some of you accuse us of not knowing how to drive MT vehicles. We have had several equipped cars and trucks both domestic and Japanese. All of them have over twice the mileage of the Fit POS and have never given us any problems.

79k for a wear item is not bad and surely doesn't make it a pos. It is a wear item therefore it's use determines when it is worn out. We have several over 100,000 and a few 200,000 and even 300,000 fits on board and several made it well into the 100,00o range with no need for a change but a FEW people have had to change at 60,000 and up but not many. there are upgraded version made by other clutch manufacturers but they also come with their own quibbles also.
