What's going on guys,

I browsed through this section and realized that no one has posted up the procedure for replacing the MAP sensor on a Fit, so here's the walk-through on performing this relatively easy job ;)

1) Disconnect the Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor connector.

2) Remove the screw.

3) Remove the MAP sensor.

4) Install the parts in the reverse order of removal with a new O-ring. Good luck! :)

Good idea. And it is one of the easiest jobs to do. Don't forget do NOT just pull on the electrical connector to remove it. You must push in the clip lock shown right where the "A" is pointing first.

is the MAP sensor prone to failure?

No I think the only ones that I have seen in years were owners with turbo or supercharging installed. They are just basically a diaphragm with not too much to have problems with or go bad.
