If you have rats, mice, squirrels, or whatever rodent chomping on your electrical wires in the engine bay Honda has come out with a product to prevent them from eating your wires.

It seems that Honda somehow uses SOY food product in the manufacture of the wire coating and that is like an invitation to the rodents to come feast on your wires.

So the sneaky Honda engineers put some HOT SPICY PEPPER juice onto some electrical tape which you then wrap around your wires. One bite of the pepper infused wires convinces any rodents around that it is a bad idea to try and eat this new tape stuff. Must not work on Thai rats as they eat spicy leftovers all the time.

BUT it is a bit pricey at $24.06 per roll but it's good insurance compared to the hundreds and thousands of dollars some people have had to pay to get their rodent eaten wiring replaced.

This is not an endorsement of Bernardi Honda other dealers will have it too but they were the first on the search list.

Does that also deter cockroaches? My Aunt found dead cockroaches and eggs on her engine bay the other day.

It was just plain eewww for my part.
