Hard to diagnose without photos. But are you sure it's for your model Fit. It should just go in place when you take out your old one and the top of the airbox should go right back to where it was. Which style clips do you have? Let us know what year and model Fit you have.

Bet your from Thailand. Some off brands are really good filters with a different label on them. Take it out and either hold it up to the sun and look through it or get a strong light and put it on one side and look at the other side and see if the light shows up any holes or open areas in the filter material.

If you are in Thailand I have a K&N drop in for a GD with the middle version of air box that is wide with one corner cut off that I will GIVE you if you have a GD as I don't use it anymore. Has maybe 6,000 KM on it.

Did some research and seen online..k&n filters seems like best in the market..best filter with great performance air flow..

But seems to me like no logic cos if u can stop dirt meana air cannot go in. Can stop dirt n also allow air seems no logic.. Hahah any take on this??

The oil on K&N filter trap dirt without stopping the air.

The oil used on K&N and other oiled filters is not plain oil like what you put in your engine crank case. It is oil mixed with a "tackifier"- think "glue". The tackifier additive is EXTREMELY sticky. It takes very little volume of this mixture of oil and glue to completely coat the surface of the cotton fibers of the filter. The dirt in the air comes into contact with the glue in the oil and stays where it hit the filter.

All of the warnings about MAP sensor failure from oiled filters is complete B.S. The oil from a new K&N filter does not leave the filter. If you clean one and re-oil it yourself from a K&N recharge kit, follow the directions. You can easily over-do the re-application of the oil. In that case, maybe you could mess up a MAP sensor's reliability. GD3 owners don't have to worry- you don't have a MAP sensor anyway.

It may be a little expensive to start but you will never have to buy another one as long as you own the car so the cost goes down.
