The dealer installed floor mats in my Fit today...but I wanted the carpet floor mats and they put in the all-weather floor mats. They did not have the carpet mats in stock to swap out, so I have the all-weather ones, but I still think I would rather have the carpet.

They also installed the center console. It is much sturdier than the little arm rest that was attached to the seat.

I know the all-weather mats cost more, but I like the comfort of carpet. It might be nice to have the all-weather mats for winter though.

Anyone have either floor mat and have likes/dislikes for either one?

On many forums, the lack of quality and short life span of the Honda floor mats is a big topic of complaint. The carpet mats wear out quickly and hold onto dirt. The WeatherTech Digital Fit Floor Liners give much better floor protection than any mat can. Honda mats at dealer prices are considered to be a rip-off.

Weathertechs are expensive and not on my meager budget right now. I'm looking at Michelin for $30 a pop up front mats while the back mats costs $55. I say good bargain. Monsoon here is all year round and my shoes all get muddy at times.

The dealer gave me the carpeted mats, but three months later they are starting to curl on the edges. They also do not seem to cover as much area as the all-weather mats. I am thinking of putting the all-weather mats back in and cutting carpet to fit inside them.

I've had both weather teach and OEM Honda Floor Mats (http://www.hondapartworld.com/honda-floor-mats) , and from my experience, the OEM wins by a landslide! They are way more durable!

I have weathertech digital mats in the front because my carpet wore on the side by the gas pedal, so I needed higher coverage. I kept my oem mats for the rear, since they cover more of the floor

I have the weathertec's and I absolutely love them. I'm going to guess that you don't have kids but if you will ever have kids in your car, go for something other than carpet. I went to pick up our kids at school the other day and my daughter said she wasn't feeling well. I got her in to the car and she looks at me totally horrified and says "Mom, I had an accident."

She was apologizing profusely about getting "it" on my car but for once, I looked at my weathertec floor mats and I told her "don't worry about it, it's totally OK" and actually meant it! (OK so I'm a little protective of my car, normally I'd be panicking over the car as much as the sick kid)

I got home, pulled the floor mats out and hosed them off and my car was back to its usual state. I have never been more thankful!

Take them out of the bag and lay them on the floor  No really it is that easy. Now look toward the rear of the car while looking at the front of the floor right in front of the seat. There should be two sections of carpet that have small perforations punched out that are fairly hard to see you have to keep looking.

Now somewhere in your car when it was brand new it had two per side of clips that fasten to the floor through those cut out areas when you pull the center of those cut areas out. The clips help keep the mats from sliding around

Either they are installed on your old carpets or maybe in your hatch or glovebox if your dealer didn't bother to install them. Or you can pick up a set at your dealer.

You can just put the mats in but they tend to slide around with nothing holding them down.

My car came without them so I just punched a hole through the floor (after checking for things underneath the area) and installed a sheetmetal screw with washer on the rear two corners of the mat and screwed them down.
