Hi,

I'm having a european black Honda Fit GD1 (similar to the JDM GD1) with the small 1.3 82hp(83ps)/61kw engine. My projects target is economical-performance. So this means loosing weight without loosing comfort elements. Because of that I don't want to swap my seats with hard carbon shelves ;)

This are my recently ordered parts:
- Seibon Carbon Trunk (delivered)
- Seibon Carbon Hood (delivered)
- PW:JDM Carbon Engine Cover (delivered)
- PW:JDM Carbon Air Intake (delivered)
- PW:JDM Dry Cell Battery (2 weeks)
- J'S Racing Titan front pipe (in production)
- J'S Racing Titan mid pipe (in production)
- J'S Racing Titan exhaust (in production)
- D2 suspension (delivered)
- Volk Racing CE28N rims 15x6 (discontinued)
- Rays Lug Nuts (4 weeks)
- Michelin Energy Saver (depends on rims)
- Spoon Antenna (4 weeks)
- JDM GD3 Fit with 1.5 109hp(110ps)/81kW VTEC engine (silver) (6 weeks)

At the moment I'm searching for:
- Macrolon / Polycarbonate rear / front side / rear side windows (found http://www.plastics4performance.com/ but they don't have the Fit in their product line)
- Carbon Fenders (Carbon Creations and VIS Racing fits only USDM version)
- lightweight axles
- front & rear brake kits
- Carbon strut bars
- Titan exhaust manifold
- Carbon side mirrors (no covers!)
- Carbon rear mirror (no covers!)
- Aluminium / Carbon doors (with enough stability, comparable to OEM doors)

Problems:
CE28N 15x6 is discontinued. I think I'll change my order to 16x7. Does anyone know which offset is the best? Available options:
+25
33
42
48

I thought about 33, but I don't want to have the wheels outside of the fender.

You are really serious about shedding weight... I have 15X7" wheels with 41mm offset and 195-55 tires and Swift Mach springs... I hear tire contact with a fender on rare occasions when cornering hard on bumpy pavement... Maybe that is some help.

Wow that is going to be a featherweight. Should go very quickly even with a stock 1.5. With all automotive laws over there will you have to report any of these mods or are they OK with the authorities?

Sounds interesting and expensive...why wouldn't you just have bought a faster car to begin with? Are you using this on a racetrack or something?

He does autocross and wins with an automatic transmission... If he isn't full tilt on the throttle he is on the brakes full tilt.

So you mean I should go with 42 or more. Hmm ok.

We will see ^^

Debate on principles? Tuning doesn't makes sense at all ^^

Are you using this on a racetrack or something?
No. Just for fun.

I suppose a 41mm offset wheel would be fine if it had 6 1/2" rims...... Going light is pretty costly but otherwise there isn't a downside to doing it like there is when going after performance in other ways.... I like what you are doing.

The only option is 16x7 I think, but I asked for the 16x6 CE28N eco line. I found them with 5 holes only. Maybe I have luck and they are available with 4 holes, too.

Are you going to weigh your car first or just go with guestamating?

Funny coincidence. I've just coming from our local garbage dump. They have a balance that says:

1045 kg

This is without driver and with a half filled tank.

That's pretty good about 2200 lbs when the advertised weight is 2345 lbs

Don't forget that the advertised weight includes the driver.
