I have an '09 MT fit. Looking for info about Lift kits to raise it up and get more ground clearance. Body and suspension would be nice.

I put a lift kit made by Rancho Suspension on a VW Rabbit pickup and found that the strut cartridges supplied in the kit were destroyed by the heavier longer .... The stock springs can be removed with out a spring compressor so you could raise it with rubber spacers like those sold at J.C.Whitney and using a spring compressor to facilitate installation...Too much spring pressure on the struts and dampers will render them completely useless.. The rear shocks can be replaced with air shocks like Manxman did a thread on elsewhere with out harm.... Raising the front end could be done safely with spacers if it was possible to find an extension that would screw onto the piston shaft of the damper.

Here is your best, and most expensive solution. The OP of this article never scrapes the front lip of his GD3 when going over steep incline driveways, he just pushes the "UP" button on the dashboard controls for his air suspension.

Here is the rear air shock info., but it only affects the rear ride height to an extent, and it also increases rear load capacity by an additional 1200 pounds.

You can get a turbo charger kit that would provide adequate power to use larger size tires to increase ground clearance for what the Air Runner kit will set you back.... After driving worry free in my Wife's Forester, larger tires and more clearance is looking pretty good to me right now... I don't want to scrape my big ole muffler from Cowboy183 once it is installed and the armadillos are starting to get pretty thick around here.
