I just purchased a 38" one, it seemed like the right one. Please tell me I made the right choice....

I didn't think about it, until I did a little more research on it.

Anthony,

38" is the width of the faring (no "L" in the word) that I bought with my Thule roof rack for my GD, back in '07. It works great.

My package just got shipped last night.... I had ordered this.... almost 2 weeks ago, do they normally take this long to ship out of their warehouse in MO? They could have emailed me saying "Hey, this may take a bit of time, we have to wait for the manufacturer to make the parts you're looking to attach to your car"

I don't know Anthony. I got mine from stock at the Thule dealer in Campbell (CA) just next to San Jose------Rack 'N Road on Hamilton Ave (IIRC).

Guess I forgot to mention I ordered it along with my hidden hitch and wiring harness from the site you had given me.

I was looking to get a towing package put on our Odyssey. Honda recomended adding both a transmission cooler AND a powersterring cooler. Do cars usually need both? If Anyone has any input, please LMK.

BTW, CuTeBoi did you have any luck selling the RPF1 rims?

Mike,
The trans. cooler makes sense, but I'm not so sure about the benefit of the power steering cooler. If you have room under the hood for the p/s unit, they are certainly cheap enough. The Ebay vendor with the best quality and prices on trans coolers is speedunlimited_sales, and B&M makes really superior trans. coolers.

@Michael:
Yeah, sold them, got 500, and the guy picked them up at my work, thought I sent you a text about it...

Think I need a trans cooler at some point for my car? or is it not that important for our Fits? I never thought to ask about that.

I spoke with a hitch installer at U-Haul today. He didn't seem to think that I really needed a transmission cooler, since I wasn't planning to haul more than 3500 lbs. with the Odyssey. I also told him that I was only planning to haul once or twice a year, from San Diego to the Central Valley. Regardless, I am prolly gonna put one on since it will benefit even when not pulling a trailer.
I forgot to mention that the Honda dealer quoted $1700 (installed) for the "Honda" towing package. I am forced to install one myself, U-Haul quoted $160 for a Class 3 hitch. I dunno the make of their hitch, nor do I know if that is a good price. I am researching now.

PS-CuTeBoi, you texted me your intentions to sell to a co-worker, but you did not say whether, or not he went through with the deal. Anyway, I am glad that you got the price that you wanted, thanks for the offer though.

Since our cars have electric powersteering, does that mean that you'd put some heat sinks on them?
I would say that the oil and transmission coolers are pretty normal for towing duty, but the P/S cooler is less so.

If a service tech tells the owner of a car that has electric power steering that he should install a power steering cooler, that car owner should immediately stop listening to the guy who is pretending to be a tech. P/S coolers are only used on hydraulic systems.
